It's possible I remixed this song on the tenth anniversary of its writing. Mixing this song was about the only highlight of making my first album, among the worst things I put my collaborators Jim and Josh through and definitely the worst thing I could have done to some solid songs. They'll return to conquer the world one day, even if my distant relatives find them in a wall somewhere.

I don't think the world can really be defined into groups of people, but I do suspect that the way people remember their dreams informs their art.

We watched the moon shine on the ceiling
Although it wasn't in the sky

It was black and white and dull and grainy
The way it always is in photographs
And I was crawling naked on my hands and knees
Before I fell into a hole

Stopping only when you heard me laugh.
You can fill a hole with anything

I can't say it took me by surprise
